ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ariane "Yaya” Chang (b. 1986) is a Chinese-French-American artist raised in New York and Hong Kong and based today in Paris. She is self-taught and works in oil, watercolor, acrylic and ink painting. Her eclectic artwork draws inspiration from her co-existing cultures and identities. She believes that it is nourishing to work in multiple spheres, inhabiting different selves in the same body. Each of these identities enhances the other. Yaya graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University and holds an MBA from ESSEC. She is the proud mother of two girls.
